| he puts a different stepping motor in it haldex unit, makes a new computer and programes it with the dial that goes on your dash. so you can have fwd or switch it on then you have 4wd and depending on how far you turn the dial depends on how much power goes to the back hope this helps |

Hi I'm looking to make one of these controllers but I need the control motor and temp sender thats on the rear diff. With these I should be able to make up a controller with a dash display and either switched or variable control with disconnect on braking if reqd. would take me about 6 months I guess and would be helpful if someone was interested in being a guinea pig. Its not going to have all the sensor inputs, so no abs or steering angle sensors, just a basic 2wd,partial to the rear or 4wd option with some safety/failsafe stuff buit in. is there much interest?
can't see the bits costing more than £100 tops
anyone? Mike |

i don't see how you have preset power splits.
100% of the power goes to the frount diff end of, if there is slip between the frount tyers and the road torque can be sent to the rear diff.
so powersplit shuld allways vary between 100/0 and 0/100 depending on how much traction the frount emd has. 50/50 to me sounds like a permantly locked system, in situations where all wheels have plenty grip and trying to turn at diffrent speeds for exanple haveing a play on a track with some sticky tyers that would put massive unessasery strain on componets |
it's all about the 16 valves |
