| Hello everyone. My name is Trevor from Donegal in Ireland. Bit of a car nut particularly vw and Fiat. Owned two polos, one 1.3 mk2 golf and a mk2 gti the past. My syncro is a red 5dr(faded of course) fitted with a G60 engine mated to a rod 020 gearbox. Body very good but alot of minor problems to sort out. Anyway just like to say, great forum and wealth of knowledge. Cheers Trev |

Hell All; I am in the process of converting my 1995 Golf to AWD. I took a 1991 Passat Syncro and put all the running gear in my Golf. I strengthened the rear Pick-up points for the suspension from the syncro. I am running a 9A 16V Turbo Intercooled and on Propane, Propane here in B.C Canada is about $.47 cents a litre. The Intercooler is going to be mounted ontop of the engine somewhat like a Subaru WRX to minimize the lag time for the turbo to spool up. G60 Brakes, rear disks and a 10 point roll cage to help strengthen the chassis. I like designing my own ideas for this car and soon it will be done. Thanks to everyone that has provided invaluable information. Cheers..Mike |

Hi, I'm Johan from Sweden. I have a Golf VR6 (2.9) syncro from -96 and Corrado G60 -91. Came here 'cause I know nothing of the syncro on my golf, and like the intro said, there is a huge lack of info about it on the web =P My big dream is to somewhere in the future either convert my Corrado G60 to VR6 or just get a Corrado VR6 (more likely), and somehow fit a haldex system on it. Having a Corrado awd would be pretty neat, and I seriously doubt there are many of those around. =) Well I came here for some info, and I'll just go ahead and browse around then |

Do you mean the downpipe? as Bernie may have one of those lying about.
